Our mission is simple: to bring joy, delight, and excellence into the daily work of every backend engineer at Grab. ### Get to Know the Role As a Lead Engineer in the Frameworks, Libraries, Primitives team (FLIP) you develop the framework that powers our backend services. You will identify opportunities to optimise our Software Development Lifecycle, lead technical projects, and shape the next generation of microservices for Grab. Our team operates across three locations in South East Asia. You will work from our Singapore office, and you will report to the Senior Engineering Manager based in the same location. ### The Critical Tasks You Will Perform - Identify, plan, and implement AI-driven tools to reduce engineering workload and boost productivity across Grab teams. - Develop frameworks and libraries in Go that empower product engineers to ship faster without reinventing the wheel. - Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps. - Mentor junior engineers and cultivate a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and engineering excellence. - Champion high code quality through rigorous code reviews and constructive feedback.
